urgent announcement:

i have, shortly before 5pm this afternoon, suddenly and mysteriously lost any kind of net access in my room. it can't be because they have cancelled my account because clearly though they did say they're terminating our accounts before we graduate this is still exam week and people do still need access! it also doesn't look like the server is down for the time being, because clearly my computer still shows that there is a local area connection active and connected. it just tells me that i don't have uva access. moreover, if i don't manage to reconnect any time soon i won't be able to download all my web files onto my own hard drive before they delete my account, and that includes my thesis which i saved on my webspace. bloody hell. oh well. i suppose i should just go study quietly for the rest of the time till i get tomorrow's exam over with and worry about this on friday. so in the meantime, don't expect updates, or to talk to me online, and if it's something urgent, don't mail me, call me at home.
