i am getting v attached to the bat who lives in our garden and i am calling him clovis. unless he is a she, in which case clovis wouldn't do. why is it i automatically assume toys and animals to be male. do people not usually assume gender from their own point of view, like how in "the everlasting story of nory" nory keeps calling the protagonist of her stories a "heroine" regardless of his/her gender, and the little boy on the plane asked me whether i had a wife. anyway, bat in garden is called clovis until i have proof that he isn't.
