one of the little p3 girls noticed a second bat in our tree this morning. i'm not very sure which is clovis anymore, though i think he's the one without the hunched back. they dangled peaceably on the same branch, wings neatly folded over their faces. a not unprepossessing sight, i am surprised to report. a paramour, i decided. his country cousin come to visit, suggested my uncle over the fence. our tree, by the way, is a norfolk pine. i shouldn't think bats lived in them, but clovis has for over a year. if we get any more bats we'll have to plant some durian trees.
