all i seem to be is grouchy and sniffly and lethargic.

went to town today despite it being a school holiday and soon regretted it. did get my vacuum pack from tangs though, and a rich brown trenchcoat with pink seam details that had been going for $129 but was now 70% off, and because i was carrying poach's birthday tangs voucher on me, the final amount came to only $8.70! after that the day went downhill, as orchard got more crowded. had expected to meet su-lin in town and to take possession of her copy of a hat full of sky, but when i called to find out which part of orchard she was in, it was at home she was, marking sec one english papers. truly, i did not want to spend money i didn't have on a hardcover pratchett, but i had just spent the previous night rereading the wee free men in anticipation of hat, so there was nothing for it - i went to times and bought a copy and read it on the way to bedok to collect a pair of altered jeans.

not for the first time did i feel that bedok galilee staff is inept. handed her my galilee card and asked for a tea and to redeem my free sandwich, but the woman sold me a tea and a sandwich and handed back my card with a stamp, so i couldn't even protest and ask her to take the price of the sandwich off the tab, because she couldn't cancel the stamp. this completely defeated the purpose of my coming to the library, since i had wanted to save money on lunch, and ended up paying more. then she asked me for the receipt back, so that she "won't forget." clearly they did forget my tea. and finally, after waiting for a few eons, they sent a girl to ask me which tea it was i had ordered. so it was to tampines next, where i thought i might watch a movie, but it was all flying daggers and i detest zhang ziyi, and also felt encumbered by massive bags of shopping and shoulder-breaking books, and gave up and struggled home again.

and there is masses still to pack.
