three english grad students and a physicist go to lunch at dudley.

e1: *talking about a prospective* her undergraduate degree was in maths, then she worked as a computer programmer, and now she's decided to go into medieval literature.
p: because obviously that's where the money is right?

e1: what are the prospectives in your department like?
p: pretty cool, but there are couple of dorks.
e2: dorks in grad school? is that possible?

e3: so what are you doing in your lab?
p: we're building a fridge.
e2: oh, is that the same lab in which they're building a table?
p: no, the table people are from another lab.
e3: building a table? can't you just buy one?

p: the coffee is strong and hot.
e3: like me.

(just so you know we don't only talk aboutl quantum physics and marxist theory at lunch.)
