wisdom from the nohrnberg oracle:

Do not make school a continual judgment ("krisis") on one's personal adequacy and wisdom as a student, as opposed to regarding it as one's opportunity and one's chance to make literature an (intriguing) object of study, and a further part of one's possessions. 'Twill be best for you to zero in on the object of study or of the specific assignment, and to pretty much ignore the party doing the studying or the person being assigned the work.

i think that is right.
