and now the quadlings are passing under my window again, going the other way, and thankfully without bagpipes. i had better nip out now to buy lunch while they are busy receiving their diplomas and hugging and kissing everyone else. dinner too, at that. i imagine cambridge will be awash with parents and guests as soon as they disperse from the houses and then there wouldn't be a crumb for the having anywhere. besides, it looks as though it might start raining. swiftly i go out the door.
