well of course it wasn't right to crash a party given by addy's sister and a junior, after she'd expressly forbidden addy to invite her friends. but really, they'd gone and invited evans and reeves, and they're our teachers too! well of course even then that wasn't really an excuse - i'm going back to college on tuesday and will see them soon enough. though i did have a uva party at woollerton park that same day, and would have gone and hung out at addy's for a while anyway. as it was addy and i hung out in her room looking at books and clothes, while the juniors made the greatest racket ever downstairs (what a boisterous lot they are!!) and then we got mr reeves to ourselves on the patio. we talked mostly about the humanities program, its history and the great challenges it is now facing, with rj going independent. and, reeves told us the "truth" about mr hughes's "defection". which came as a surprise and i think great relief, and i've gained a new respect for our principal. i suppose this is not the place to talk about it, so i won't here.

met a girl who's uva-bound next week. isn't that curious? she's a humanz classmate of erlina yeo, 1ber so addy's and my direct junior, and now erlina's off to columbia in addy's footsteps, and this girl's off to virginia. hey! she'll be the first rj humanz student at virginia after me! mm hmm!

and evans! when i was getting out of the cab he zoomed in ahead of me on what some of the boys called his "chick machine", so all i had was to walk up to him and wait for him to dismount and turn around to pounce on him. it's amazing! i hugged him an exuberant total of FOUR times in one afternoon. me and evans of the dagger pens and white slip wars!!! (he's still his own sarcastic self. when telling us that we had smashed acjc in the national debating finals yesterday, he said: "well, there was no question about it. we were terrible, and they were completely abysmal." haha!) darling mr evans. i brought him a nooteboom and a calasso. there's simply nothing like making a friend out of your worst enemy, hah!
