what in the world is a fantasy baseball league and why are english department people getting involved in one? why are we fantasising about sport? what about a fantasy library?

[update: it has now been explained to me what a fantasy league is and how it works. i'm still not convinced there is much fun in this. now a fantasy english department - hiring and poaching faculty and comparing their publications and giving people tenure - that would be very cruel and very snide, and so much more in our line.]
