feel i acquitted myself very poorly in both my classes today, but at least they're over and i can shove my disgrace under the bed for the time being. together with all those piles of work i don't want to look at tonight. had an indifferent lunch at dudley, and then found that the new apartment lease was ready, so went with elaine, my future roommate, to harvard real estate services and put our signatures on very many pieces of papers here please and there again and on that page too right where i'm pointing and then again on this one. all that taken care of, i am pleased to tell everyone that my new address, from june 1st, and pretty much my permanent address until i lose my harvard affiliation, will be:

Min Zhi Heng
29 Garden Street
Apt #205
Cambridge, MA 02138
USA

i don't know what the phone number is, as the current tenants have only cell phones, but doubtless i shall find out when i get in and plug in my phone and give von a call.

and then it was to the central square library where i got told off (for the second time in a month) by the same librarian for using my id to check books out. "we prefer your library card." she said, with a most unpleasant emphasis on "prefer." i think it's the kind of voice von describes as possessive of tentacles. i miss the broadway main library. broadway told me i needn't bother with the library card if i had an id. and it was in a lovely building. and only a five-minute stroll from the barker centre. i feel discontent rising high in my breast.
