goodness knows i've always adored tennyson, but the princess is such a very trying poem. how i shall get a 45minute presentation out of it by tuesday i am not yet quite clear, since i can't stand any victorian feminism claptrap for long, and this is nearly as annoying as aurora leigh, but i expect i'll manage.

though anyone who can write something so impressive as "in memoriam" has no business going around writing anything like "the princess" and spoiling it all, she huffs unfairly.
