aick! the singapore red cross and bloodbank at health sciences authority are making an urgent appeal for blood donors. please do go and donate blood, those of you who are home. and those of you who aren't home ask your family to go. i'll be doing that too when i get back next week and hauling my parents with me. well my mother anyway, my pa is too old and too decrepit. my mater is scared of needles but i'll persuade her. and any aunts and cousins i can rustle up.

according to CNA this morning: Singapore's blood banks are drying up, sparking an urgent appeal for donations.Blood stocks have fallen so low that elective surgeries are being postponed. The prolonged rain and festive celebrations have resulted in fewer blood donors coming forward in the past few weeks.

Any healthy individuals, aged between 18 and 60 and weighing above 45 kilogrammes, can head down to the bloodbank at HSA, located at 11 Outram Road, to make a blood donation. The public can call 6220-0183 for more enquiries.

(you know, this notice says 18-60. how did reeves used to get us to donate blood in jc, since we must have only been 17 then? they came to rj once or twice a year and ao1b always went faithfully as a class.)
