we must all meet our fell destinies, nor is julian exempt from his, so he has gone off like a shot through a goose to bermuda to study his beloved sea urchins and jellyfish. he will therefore miss the little tea party i am proposing this weekend: if i haven't mentioned before my cousin has a lovely four-room flat in punggol, completely furnished and quite beautifully decorated, and completely unlived in. she says i may borrow it often for giving parties, and seeing our house is seldom free for cavorting in the evenings these days, i think it a capital suggestion. there is not much by way of kitchen utensils or appliances (save a fridge, oven and stove) so cooking and washing is not a good idea, though we can boil water and keep desserts and drinks in the fridge. i am thinking of bringing my tea set over and we could do a tea sampling session, one of those friday nights after-work sort of thing, just to hang out? bring music and movies (there is a good entertainment system) and choonping can even bring a scrabble set if it pleases him! punggol is on the nel (her flat is two blocks from the station) so people can get home easily after... though we could even sleep over if we wanted to, there's a double in the master bedroom, a double-deckered bed in the children's room, and a futon in the entertainment room, as well as a sofa in the living room. what say people?
