my cd player is behaving in a peculiar manner. it plays any track you ask it to readily enough but as soon as it ends instead of going on to the next track like any reasonable machine would it turns itself off and beams expectantly at you as though it had just done something extraordinarily clever. tried as i would coaxed it would not be.
