in the morning, i feel rather less hysterical, and also somewhat chastised by nohrnberg (to whom i had written a - thankfully - very short and entirely unhysterical email) who knew very well what was on my mind though, and says:

"The only and proper way to turn lemons into lemonade is to in fact use them to do so, and studying her project should make it possible to combine elements from it with those of your own, to similar original effect."

"lemons" isn't lost on me.

and i'm glad he thinks it will be "to similar original effect."

but what i liked best of all was, without me having said anything, he starts his email by saying "eleanor cook... is in a related lineage to ours" and then talks about her toronto connection. i like being thought as belonging to that lineage.
