although we only had time for one museum (i must go back to berlin!) i'm glad that it was the pergamon museum we visited, for after peter weiss's description of the frieze in the opening of the aesthetics of resistance one wanted to see the altar, and the special exhibit on the identification and placement of herakles (a mere lion paw fragment is all we have left of his defiance, by which to hold up weiss's identification of herakles as revolutionary.) also: i wish i'd read more of peter weiss, and earlier in life.
