being impatient on top of being indecisive i baked three pieces of cod in the same tray, one marinated with honey and red miso paste, one with lemon zest and juice and pepper, and the other chinese parsley and garlic. and yesterday i was in the mood for soba and found a massive sweet pomelo with crystal pink flesh and so turned out a soba salad with julienned ham, cucumber, egg, seaweed, and rice crackers, topped off with lots and lots of chilled pomelo. (i used sesame oil and honey and a bit of stock for the dressing.) i'm starting to get into a cooking mood. next weekend i shall try to make some pumpkin ravioli. not real ravioli obviously, i'm cheating with wonton wrappers. i think pumpkin puree and tofu would do for a vegan version? and i'm thinking of trying esme's spinach and strawberry salad recipe. and dash it, i've accidentally bought flax seeds, a large packet of it. how, and what, does one cook with them?
