registration is upon us, and i shouldn't have realised if i hadn't been at the international student host program dinner last night and the dean of gsas, addressing the new students, said: we'll see you on wednesday! i hope my registration won't be blocked tomorrow because i haven't got my meningitis shot yet. perhaps the medical records office will have the waiver forms at dudley, or i could just go and get the shot like a good girl. i wonder why harvard can't have electronic registration. two clicks on the computer and i could go back to bed with a book. harvard really is very old-fashioned in many ways. and most wasteful of paper. but they're getting there. small changes this year include the abolishment of the practise of issuing yearly ids. gsas students will now have long term ids valid till their projected date of graduation. i'll go find out about that shot shall i? i also have to run up to fernald drive to get a new key to the apartment (dropped mine somewhere.) i really hope tomorrow wouldn't be a tedious administrative sort of day going from office to office and filling out forms, but i am sure that's exactly what it will be. alas.
