and she goes hurtling out of the door at 8.30 in the evening because she had to read something, anything, by robert aickman that night, and she could possibly get to one of his anthologised stories at sengkang before the library closes, and before anyone else gets to it. it had to be sengkang because all his other books are out, or missing, or in the r.u.b.c. has anyone noticed how any book you want invariably turns out to be in the r.u.b.c? if they opened the rubc as a library i would never need to go anywhere else.
