i grant, of course, that it is not real satay, but this dining hall does get some things right sometimes.

so i trudge in for lunch and they give me:



  • a bowl of udon, dry
  • drenched in a sour and spicy sauce
  • topped with mango chutney with real chunks of mango
  • and cucumber achah (which actually taste like achah)
  • and liberal sprinklings of chopped peanuts and grated coconut
  • and on top of all this, grilled beef on a skewer


and much happiness fills my heart.
