i wonder why cappelli seems so difficult to get it ought to be the sort of thing that never goes out of print because every humanities student working in earlier periods must want it. or perhaps it's just the english edition that has gone out of print? at least the library has just the one in english to seven copies of the original. or perhaps it doesn't really matter if i can't read the front matter as long as i can match the graphs i want? thankfully i have bischoff to go on for now but that list contains only some of the most common abbreviations, and isn't anywhere near exhaustive. there is supposed to be an electronic dictionary based on cappelli but i can't seem to access it the server always seems to be down. but no matter. i press on with my microfilms!
