although i think nothing of tossing a half-read book aside and never touching it again, (poach, on the other hand, has to finish a book she has started) if i do finish more than one book belonging to a series i go after the remaining books demonically, incapable of rest until i have read every last book in that series, and preferably all at once. this severe flaw accounts, amongst other things, for the elizabeth peters on my reading list. i am now stuck on the bagthorpes saga and why is it books in series are never ever respectable books? i know just how the rest of my week will go: there'll be an embarrassingly long hiatus from any sort of sensible reading while i rush through the books desperately, if only so that i can free myself of them as quickly as possible and return to real books. what a wretched life.
