i hasten to say that i've actually seen quite a lot of these plays, including but not limited to:

  • choonping's teochew bildungsroman for morrison, flight, during which sakamoto music and one black dress belonging to minz were used. (i distinctly remember going to orchard with choonping after french class to shop for makeup and false nails for warren mah to play a supermodel!)

  • stanley's (goh? wong?) drama a year or two before, about the plane hijack, also for morrison, flight of faith i remember now it was called. in which at one point, i don't remember his name now, but was track captain for morrison, played a hijacker.

  • both of jianyi's plays for moor, the egyptian one (which billy via su-lin reminds us was called daughter of the naked moon) in which a lot of people died, and the other one, chinese opera troupe during japanese occupation, not wanting to be hanjian, double happiness double happiness, someone dies at the end etc. (jianyi's plays always involve heavy make up and elaborate costumes, don't they)

  • hullett's play (i forget the name) about kidney failure and muslim organ donation in which jeffery lee played the mother.

  • also for hullett but the year after - which desmond directed - i remember this particularly because i lent him a dress and terence poon, who was in charge of the wardrobe, LOST MY DRESS.

  • von and julian's for bayley, five people sitting around a table arguing, in which one of the characters (the one who had an outburst at the end because the script within the script was autobiographical?) was a ex-monfort school boy my dad had taught called vincent or vernon or something or other. (is bayley infested with v-names or what?)

moral: although she is a bimbo, minzhi's memory can be quite good when you don't want it to be.
