yen sent me an economist article reviewing the latest edition of thurber's collected letters, fresh from the publishers this month, a shaggy beast of a hardback of 800 pages, edited by thurber's daughter rosemary, and harrison kinney (who wrote his columbia m.a. thesis on thurber and who has written the most extensive biography of thurber available) i've got the selected letters of thurber, of course, though it always seemed pitifully little, considering what a great and sharp correspondent he was. i can't wait to buy this, but von flatly refuses to be a human mule for me. *meaningful look* a truly ungrateful and disagreeable boy!
