i wanted badly to go to alexander sokurov's father and son only it's all sold out except for one performance on may 1st, and that is at the same time as li kang sheng's bujian and i want to see that even more badly. and nearly everything else i want to go to is sold out too, so i think i'm only seeing bu jian (and maybe also cai mingliang's bu san) this film feste. this is alright, considering i am penniless from having rashly purchased tickets to the following arts feste performances:

secreto y malibu
triology - around the world in 77 minutes
budapest festival orchestra (bartok, beethovan, ravel)
yo-yo ma and the silk road ensemble

and also one of those sso saturday afternoon concerts for stravinsky soldier's tale and 3 tangos by astor piazolla
