my parcels seem to be taking an extraordinarily long time to come. i ordered the tough guide to fantasy land* for rikita's birthday but i am beginning to think it wouldn't arrive on time.

* remember? well if you don't see here, here and here. it really was the most marvellous fun. i wish she'd write another book. conrad's fate was only so-so, that was only last year wasn't it? seems longer. has there been another one since? on that note, wintersmith should be out sometime this summer, i think. but since it isn't a watch book, i'm not especially excited. (now that there is young sam vimes i think there ought to be puppies for angua and carrot!)
