and now am thinking about how we used to drive through orchard every christmas to see the lights. and how i would, when i was small enough, crawl under the coffee table and go to sleep. and my uncle used to drive to yiochukang to pick up my aunt (who was nearly always in the afternoon session) every day after school dismissal. i would go with him - when i'm in the morning session of course - and we would drive out and find a parking spot near the school gate and have ten or fifteen minutes in the playground opposite the school, and then when we heard the "mari kita raya..." we would walk back to the car and wait for my aunt to come through the gate and he would start the engine as he saw her. even when i was in rgs - occasionally when i came home early and wasn't too tired i would go with him.
