i've just learnt that a previously unpublished short story of robert aickman's was printed in november's issue of the fantasy/decadence journal wormwood. is it worth, do you suppose, ordering this journal for just the one story? i have heard it is very short and i don't know if it's any good, or if it is just our own longing for a new work, any work, by a long-deceased cult author, that looks favourably on the post-humous publication of any writing found. and i don't particularly want a magazineful of criticism; on the other hand, tartarus press is really very reliable, and the lavish edition of the 48 collected stories were most impressive. oh this is most difficult. blast the graduate school for stealing away with my ducats and my daughter.
