if i send in a 14 page writing sample columbia will know that i am incapable of reading instructions, won't they?

*plaintive* but why do they want only a 10 page paper?

i've tried. none of my long papers could be editted down to anything less than 14, and that's with 11pt font and fiddling with margins and linespacing. *pout* i've chucked that and am trying to revise, at once, my nooteboom paper to 10 (after cutting it down to 7 the other day!!!) and my spenser paper (which i do not like anymore) because when i look at it all it reminds me of is acute disgrace and disaster, even if it turned out alright in the end. there is simply no time. i've managed to wrangle an extra two days - addy's folks are taking my application to new york with them on friday, and erlina will turn it in for me directly, sometime before noon, on monday, i trust. oh minzhi.
