sarah: "what is a coup?" (because of thailand, you see.)

mother: it's when you think the government is not good, so you take over the government by force.

and when sarah had contemplated this for a minute, she said: "you know, actually, my school is too strict..."

so now we're warily waiting for the hougang coup to happen. any day now.

in other news, ariel attended his first "yoga for kids" class and had tremendous fun. when interviewed for this blog, he said: "i can hold the position for a long time! sometimes it's painful, but i don't mind."

he has also recently discreditted his sister's friend when he scorned her claim that she has chicks at home hatched from eggs that her hen laid. (what a girl is doing keeping hens in her hdb flat puzzles me, but the strength of his objection was that she did not also claim to keep roosters. "no rooster how can? must have mating first."
