how i adore my aunt, queen of the kitchen, for her walnut-lotus-paste mini mooncakes. of which, because she is very sweet and i don't like salted eggs, she made a small, separate batch of yolkless ones for me today, and marked them so that i could differentiate them from the ones with yolk. she said she'd teach me how to make them too! when i succeed, i will make a big batch of them for mid-autumn festival, which is in...hm! about 10 weeks' time...and we can all have a zhongqiu party like we did the other time. we'll eat pomelo, and melon seeds, and drink tea, and then we can all take lanterns and go to naung park and make nuisances of ourselves. and perhaps yisheng can write us another chang-er poem! shall we? it's the first time for four years that everyone will be home in september, except von of course. (sorry darling) i shall go look up the lunar calendar directly.
