i'm also quite fond of 诸葛亮's 诫 子, although i think he will find that these days, it is the scholars who live in the shambly huts. isn't this line great? 年与时驰，意与岁去，遂成枯落，多不接世，悲守穷庐，将复何及？what a picture! quite frightening really. although i'm not very sure about the translation of 多不接世. what i would like, really, is a historical and etymological classical chinese dictionary. i should work on my classical chinese and read a passage every week. i don't suppose i can smuggle one out of yenching library.
